Graduate programs in the School of Sport, Recreation, and Tourism Management (SRTM) meet the growing demand from students and professionals for advanced study in sport management, recreation administration, tourism management, and related fields.

M.S. Sport and Recreation Studies

Students in this master’s program choose from among the following four concentrations:

Recreation Administration Concentration
Prepares graduates to assume mid- to upper-level administrative positions in park and recreation organizations and industries.
Sport and Leisure Studies Concentration
Emphasizes the historical, critical, socio-cultural, and theoretical analysis of sport and leisure issues.
Sport Management Concentration
Meets the growing needs and demands of a rapidly changing sport industry seeking to hire educated and culturally aware professionals
Individualized Study in Sport, Recreation, and Tourism Concentration
With advisor approval, students may select four 3-credit courses within the university catalog that form an integrated program of study.
