This 18-credit certificate provides students the opportunity to prepare for a career in a variety of food and beverage operations, including hospitality, restaurants, and institutional (e.g. schools, hospitals) food service management.
Note: The program described below has been approved by the Board of Visitors and sent to the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia for consideration as a new degree program. The university cannot accept applications or enroll students in this program until SCHEV approval has been granted.
The required courses provide exposure to the core business functions needed to succeed in the food and beverage industry.
This certificate may be pursued on a part-time basis only.
