The Event Technical Production (EVTP) minor offers the opportunity to study special events management and event technologies as well as design and production for installations and special events.
This minor is offered jointly by the College of Education and Human Development (School of Sport, Recreation, and Tourism Management) and the College of Visual and Performing Arts (School of Theater), and it is available to all Mason undergraduate students. It is designed to provide insights into industry standards and practices around planning, managing, and executing live events and presentations.

- At least 8 credits of EVTP minor course work must be applied to the minor only and may not be used to fulfill requirements of the student’s major, concentration, and undergraduate certificate, or another minor.
- Students must earn a minimum 2.00 GPA in EVTP minor coursework.
- At least 6 credits of EVTP minor course work must be completed at Mason.

Courses of the Event Technical Production Minor are offered either face-to-face at Mason’s Fairfax campus or online. Students must complete 18 credits.
