Find Your Advisor
Our mission is to provide our students with the most accurate and timely information as it pertains to their academic success. Our advisors are well versed in the many majors and minors that SRTM has to offer as well as academic policies and procedures that can affect student success.
Students should meet with their program advisor regularly to plan and adjust academic schedules to ensure timely progression towards their degree in the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism. Students also can monitor their academic progress on Patriot Web. This self service website offers Mason students the opportunity to monitor their academic status through a degree evaluation, which shows what courses need to be satisfied in the general education requirements, professional concentration requirements, and electives.
Students also have available to them faculty members in their concentration areas who schedule weekly office hours to answer questions regarding internship ideas, retention issues, course substitutions, and overall advice on activities that will help them get the most from the Mason experience and to prepare for a successful career in their field.
